Abschied Abschied – Farewell: Decay and Finiteness (Short; Germany; 17:00; 2009)
Director: Frank Moritz
In the ancient days Hermes used to guide the souls of the dying to Hades. Nowadays the art of presenting the unspeakable is deemed hermetic—thoughts about “Decay and Finiteness” for example. Frank Moritz, Frankfurt-based director and dramatic advisor, chose these words as a subtitle for his new video installation “Farewell” which was produced in cooperation with Claudius Massinger. Once more the most intimate and inaccessible parts of life are dealt with.
Painter of the skies

3lbs for 6D 3lbs for 6D (Experimental; USA; 6:28; 2009)
Director: Andy Howell
It is a delicate balance between one’s personal persona and ones visual persona. The adventure towards this discovery of self and social acceptance can be a trying one. This film recounts the last moments of such a decision being made. Self-deprecation, Embarrassment, and Imagination play important characters in such a story. Told in a reverse world, meant to symbolize instability and confusion, the film concludes open-ended allowing the audience to vicariously conclude their own self-struggle.
